For the most basic version of oven roasted pecans, simply preheat your oven to 325 degrees, and layer pecan halves evenly on a cookie sheet. Heat for about 5-7 minutes for a crispy, natural snack. After cooling, store in an airtight container, and they’ll be ready to eat by the handfuls.

If you want just a nice outer toast on your pecans, the best way to achieve it is by using a skillet on the stove top, shaking and stirring often. A low temperature will do the trick, and no salt is necessary. Once again, you should allow the nuts to cool completely, and store in an airtight container.

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
    • 2 teaspoons sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
    • 2 cups of pecans.
    Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and bake for 10 minutes at 310 degrees. Stir the mixture well, and continue to bake for 10 minutes. Watch the butter so it doesn’t burn. Remove the pecans from the oven and cool completely. This is a great way to wake up all the flavors, and is a delicious snack at dinner parties or tailgates

    Ingredients:
    • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
    • 2 teaspoons sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke or a chipotle pepper sauce
    • 2 cups of pecans
    Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and bake for 10 minutes at 310 degrees. Toss the mixture well, and continue to bake for 10 minutes. Watch the butter so it doesn’t burn. Remove the pecans from the oven and cool completely.

    SUGAR AND SPICE ROASTED PECAN RECIPE

    Ingredients:
    • 4 tablespoons of butter
    • ¼ cup bourbon
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • 4 cups pecan halves.
    Directions: Mix the first six ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil on the stove, stirring well. Add the pecans and coat them well. Spread the coated pecans on a cookie sheet in a single layer, and bake at 310 degrees for 15 minutes. Take them out of the oven and stir them, then bake an additional 15 minutes and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container. You may also store in freezer, if you have any left.

    BUTTERED & SALTED ROASTED PECANS WITH ORANGE ZEST RECIPE

        Ingredients:
    • ⅛ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, divided
    • 2 cups pecan halves
    • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
    Directions: Mix the first four ingredients together and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Toss them twice while baking. Remove the nuts from the oven and toss with orange zest. Salt to taste. Allow them to cool before snacking, and store in an airtight container.

    CINNAMON-SUGAR ROASTED PECAN RECIPE

    Ingredients:
    • 1 pound pecan halves
    • 1 tablespoon water
    • 1 egg white
    • 1 cup sugar
    • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    • ¾ teaspoon salt
    Directions: Mix the egg white and water together until frothy, and mix the sugar, salt and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. Coat the pecans evenly with the egg whites, then toss them in with the sugar mixture, stirring to coat the pecans entirely. Spread out the pecans on a cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove the nuts from the oven and allow them to cool before snacking. Store in an airtight container.
